Shop & Admissions Assistant

Location: Rare Breed Centre, Woodchurch, Kent

Contract: Permanent, Part-Time (32.5 hours per week, annualised, mixture of days)

Do you have great people skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service? Join our friendly team at the Rare Breeds Centre as a Shop & Admissions Assistant and help create a welcoming experience for all our visitors.

In this varied role, you’ll:

• Serve customers at our shop and admissions desk, handling sales and Gift Aid.
• Support with opening, closing and cashing up procedures.
• Replenish stock, process deliveries, and keep the shop clean and well-presented.
• Assist with school/group admissions, events, and customer enquiries.
• Work alongside adults with learning disabilities, supporting them in developing retail skills.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience in a retail or customer service environment.
• Communicates clearly, stays calm under pressure, and enjoys working in a team.
• Is flexible and able to work weekends, bank holidays, and events as needed.
• Is reliable, enthusiastic, and approachable.
