Support Worker (Rosemary Cottage)

At Canterbury Oast Trust, we support adults with learning disabilities and complex needs to live fulfilling, independent lives. At Rosemary Cottage, one of our residential services, we are looking for a compassionate and motivated Support Worker to join our dedicated team.

What you’ll do:

• Provide person-centred support that promotes dignity, independence, and choice
• Assist with daily living tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, medication, and household routines
• Support people to access activities, appointments, community events, and meaningful opportunities
• Build positive relationships that encourage confidence, communication, and well-being
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and professionals to achieve the best outcomes
• Maintain clear, accurate records and contribute to effective handovers
• Help create a safe, homely, and supportive environment where everyone feels valued

What we’re looking for:

• A patient, empathetic, and reliable team player
• Good communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
• Someone confident in supporting people with personal care and daily routines
• Flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays as part of a rota
• A commitment to delivering high-quality support that empowers individuals
• A full manual driving licence is required

Requirements:

• Proof of right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS check
• Two satisfactory references (one from your current or most recent employer)
• Full work history
