What sets our shop apart is the incredible opportunity it offers to these adults, enabling them to gain valuable training and develop essential retail and customer service skills.

The Role:

We are on the lookout for a spirited and enthusiastic Shop & Admissions Assistant to join our dynamic team! In partnership with our Operations Manager, you’ll help ensure the smooth operation of our Gift Shop and manage Farm Admissions. This is a flexible, casual position that includes weekend work, with competitive pay starting at £12.26 pr hour, alongside a weekend shift allowance of £0.70 per hour. For those aged 18-20, the rate is £10 per hour, while under-18s will earn £7.55 per hour.

Your shifts will be scheduled monthly throughout the year, with additional opportunities during school holiday periods, primarily in Easter, Summer, and Half Term, as well as bank holiday shifts as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Shop & Admissions Assistant, you’ll actively engage in:

  • Welcoming guests and managing admissions to the RBC.
  • Processing memberships and enhancing customer experiences.
  • Interacting with the public and answering inquiries over the phone.
  • Preparing the shop for daily opening and closing routines.
  • Collaborating with adults with learning disabilities, guiding them as they hone their retail skills.
  • Taking on responsibilities on behalf of the Operations Manager during her absence.
  • Handling stock deliveries and assisting with parking duties during busy times.

About You:

The ideal candidate for the Shop & Admissions Assistant position will be:
