Work with us
Canterbury Oast Trust (COT) believes in a future where people with learning disabilities shape an inclusive society where anything is possible. Our mission is to empower individuality, achieve happiness, and provide high quality in everything we do. Through our accommodation, personal development, and work experience programmes, we enable people to live with choice, control, and meaningful participation in society.
We support over 80 people in accommodation services across Kent and more than 150 in life skills opportunities. All of our services are person-centred and employ a holistic approach which values mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
The Rare Breeds Centre was originally developed to provide training and skills development to our supported people as well as serving as a popular visitor attraction for families to generate income to support the work of the charity. Working on our farm means interacting with the public and with our farm life skills students. It’s also good for your health! Studies show that working with animals has been shown to lower stress and anxiety levels.
Due to the diverse nature of the Trust we offer a range of jobs and career opportunities including Support Workers, Registered Managers, Farm and Attraction Workers and various Life Skills roles.
