Live life to the full in our accommodation services

Accommodation Services

At COT, we know that choosing where to live is a big decision. It’s about feeling safe, happy, and free to be yourself with just the right amount of support. That’s why our accommodation services are designed to support you in living life to the fullest—whether that means making new friends, exploring exciting experiences, or simply having a comfortable place to call home.

Support, in a home that is right for you

Everyone’s different, and we make sure our homes reflect that. Whether you need full-time care or just a bit of support to live independently, we’ll find the best option for you.

  • Residential Care – 24-hour personalised care and support in a nurturing and enabling home.
  • Supported Living – A tenancy in your own home that might be shared with others or on your own.  Supported Living gives you more control and independence, this can be with 24-hour support from your own staff team.

No matter which type of support you choose, we will help you live a full and happy life, build confidence, and feel like you truly belong in your community.

Personalised support

We take time to get to know you and what matters to you.  This means your support is planned to meet your unique needs, goals, and choices.  Everyone has a support plan, these are reviewed regularly and kept up to date through our digital system, Log My Care.

Everyday Living

Based on your assessment, we can support you with everyday tasks like washing, dressing, medication, and meals, as well as keeping in touch with loved ones and staying healthy—physically, emotionally, and socially.

  • A Place to Call Home - Each of our homes is warm, welcoming, and designed to feel just like that, a home. You will have your own room which you can make your own, from favourite colours to wall art. It’s your choice.
  • A Life Full of Experiences - Every day is different. You can plan your own fun, from baking and craft sessions to theme nights and day trips. Living at COT means you have free access to the Rare Breeds Centre. You can spend time with the animals, go on woodland walks, and enjoy discounts at the Granary Restaurant. We also have a brand-new sensory room which you can book.
  • Learn, Grow & Have Fun - At COT, you can take part in our Life Skills programmes designed to help you feel more confident, independent, and gain useful and fun skills and knowledge.

  • Community Connections – Join a local group, try volunteering, or simply enjoy a cuppa with a friend. We’ll support you in keeping in touch with loved ones and making new friendships too!
  • Supporting Your Voice and Choice - Your opinions matter! We encourage you to have a say in how your home runs—whether that’s helping interview new staff or making important decisions about day-to-day life.
  • A Team You Can Trust - Our staff are here to support you every step of the way. Even our maintenance team is part of the COT family, so you’ll feel comfortable when they come to help.
  • Always Improving - We believe in quality first—regular checks, high standards, and a commitment to making life better. Some homes even have special areas for people with dietary needs, making meal preparation safer and easier.
  • Extra Help When You Need It - Thanks to Friends of COT and Hitrade, extra support is available! Our fundraising supporters help to fund things like equipment, special events, and exciting days out.
