Big Summer of Games

There’s so much to enjoy on the farm this summer

This summer holidays, we’re going BIG, and we mean giant! Join us for family-friendly fun with oversized versions of your favourite games including Giant Chess, Giant Snakes and Ladders, Giant Noughts and Crosses, Giant Jenga, and Guess Moo (Guess Who with cows!). We’ve also brought in tetherball, limbo, a bean bag toss, croquet, and space hoppers for peak summer fun for the whole family.

Additionally, throughout the summer holidays, everyday there will be plenty of animal feeding and “meet the animals” sessions for the whole family to enjoy! Including meet the cows and horsesgoat and pig feeding, ferret racing, and of course our famous pig racing! With full days of fun activities, there’s something to keep everyone entertained.

August weekend special activities

For each weekend in August we’ve dreamed up some extra-fun activities on the farm!

Who wants to see their teddy bear take off for a daring kite flying session, learn to juggle plates, how to line dance or how to build a den?

2nd & 3rd August Circus Skills Weekend Pop into one of two daily sessions and let your little ones learn exciting circus skills like the diabolo, spinning plates, balance boards, and juggling balls.
9th & 10th August Fun-O-Rama with Siana Get ready for music, dancing, games, and non-stop giggles with Siana! On Sunday 10th, we will also be welcoming the Rock Choir, an award-winning, contemporary choir!
16th & 17th August Teddy Bears Picnic Enjoy a day full of teddy bear fun! The Kent Kite Flyers will be soaring kites from 11am to 4pm, with a special chance to watch your teddy take flight into the sky. In the morning, join our craft sessions where little ones can make hats and friendship bracelets for their teddies. Then stay for a fun-filled afternoon of picnics and games!
23rd & 24th August Country Showdown Join us for line dancing, a fancy dress competition, and a fun craft activity, all led by our brilliant storyteller, Siana.
30th & 31st August Den Building Bring your imagination and test your den-building skills with us!

In honour of Mindful Bee’s new book launch, we have a fun beach theme happening this summer. So grab a deck chair, bring your beach toys and relax whilst your little ones play in our giant sandpit. It will be here all summer!

Siana will also be continuing her popular Storytelling Wednesdays and Rhyme & Sign sessions, perfect for little ones! These fun-filled experiences include interactive stories, catchy songs, and plenty of engaging activities, all included in your ticket price. Join the fun in the Discovery Zone at 11:30am and 1:00pm every Wednesday and Friday! These sessions will not be running on Wednesday 27th and Friday 29th August.

All of our popular daily activities will be running as usual, including Tractor-Trailer Rides and Meet the Animals in the Children’s Barn. When it’s time to refuel, our catering outlets will be open with a delicious selection of food and drinks. Don’t miss our brand new ice cream kiosk, now serving Kelly’s Ice Cream, with tasty vegan options available too!

A Piratey Father’s Day

Ahoy Mateys! Our real-life pirate is visiting the farm this Father’s Day and he can’t wait to meet you and your family! He’ll be adding extra, swash-buckling entertainment throughout the day.

To help make the day even more special, we’re offering one free adult day ticket for every group that includes at least one paid adult or child. When booking your tickets online, simply enter the code FATHERSDAY at checkout. Or let the admissions team know when purchasing tickets on the day and they will be able to apply the discount. Woolly Week

Pop the dates in your diary and head down to the farm for a sheep-load of fun during our much-loved Woolly Week!

If you enjoyed meeting our lambs over Easter, you’ll be thrilled with what we’ve got in store. We’re going full-on fluffy with a whole week dedicated to our woolly friends, think sheep-themed activities, hands-on fun for the little ones, and baa-rilliant surprises around every corner.

Best of all, all the extra activities are included in your farm admission, no extra costs, just heaps of fleece-filled fun!

So, pull on your wellies, gather your flock, and get ready for a week of sheepish smiles and countryside adventures. You’d be baaarmy to miss it!

As usual, each day we will be running tractor-trailer rides from 11am – 4 pm and Meet the Animals from 10am – 4pm, but we will also have the additional special events and activities shown below.

Get ready to go baa-rmy for sheep shearing!

Curious about how sheep get their stylish summer cuts? Swing by at 11am or 2:30pm to watch one of our amazing farm team members show off the age-old art of sheep shearing! They’ll walk you through the process, share some woolly cool facts, and happily answer any questions you have.

Hands on fun for little lambs!

Kids can roll up their sleeves and try “shearing” shaving foam off our fluffy sheep cutouts—foam-tastic fun guaranteed! Then it’s time to get crafty with adorable woolly creations they can take home. Join us in the Discovery Zone between 12 and 1 pm, we’ll have everything you need to let your creativity run wild.

Sheep trail adventure!

Don’t forget to follow our baa-rilliant Sheep Trail, running all day long! Grab your trail sheet from the gift shop and see if you can find all the hidden sheep around the farm. There may be a surprise waiting for our top trail trackers!

Storytelling

Little Bo Peep of course lost her sheep…., but on this occasion has brought her sheep to the Rare Breeds Centre for our team to shear and while that’s happening, she will be in the Discovery Zone for storytelling sessions, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday with sessions running at 11:30 am and 2:30 pm.

A Truly Magical Christmas

Santa’s Grotto opens on Saturday, November 22nd, and will welcome visitors every weekend until Christmas, plus Monday, December 22nd to Wednesday, December 24th. Santa’s elves arrive early to work their magic all around the farm, filling it with twinkling lights and festive cheer. They even turn our cattle barn into a glittering Santa’s grotto, where families can enjoy daily shows featuring Santa himself and his merry band of elves!

Enjoy a magical festive experience with craft activities, a reindeer trail, and plenty of seasonal fun for the whole family, all set within our enchanting festive farm! We offer multiple SEN-friendly Santa’s Grotto sessions, designed with fewer people in the audience and a more relaxed atmosphere—perfect for those who benefit from a calmer experience.
