Discovery Garden

A hidden gem bursting with life, learning and a little bit of magic

Explore the Magic of the Discovery Garden

Tucked away like a well-kept secret, the Discovery Garden is where edible meets ornamental, with just the right amount of wild charm thrown in. It’s a peaceful, beautiful space where nature and nurture grow side by side – and it’s a brilliant place for curious young minds (and their grown-ups) to explore.

Explore the Garden: Where Food Grows

This is where children can see exactly how fruit and veg are grown – from seed to harvest – before they ever end up on your dinner plate. From juicy strawberries and raspberries to pumpkins, herbs, lettuces and cabbages, there’s always something new to spot, sniff, or even taste (if you beat the birds to it!).

It’s also home to one of our life skills areas, where our students gain hands-on experience growing food, making compost, and learning sustainable gardening skills.

A Garden Full of Tiny Wonders

Kids can hunt for bugs, peek into the compost bins and wormery, and discover why bees, butterflies and even weeds matter so much to our planet.

With woven willow tunnels, wildlife-friendly planting, and a tranquil pond to spot frogs or dragonflies, the garden is full of gentle adventures and chances to learn.
