Get the most from your school visit with the addition of our educational activities at just £1 per pupil per session.
Key information
- All activities last for 20 minutes.
- Activities must be booked in advance due to limited availability.
- Please advise us if your group has any additional needs.
- Educational activities are £1 per pupil (Minimum fee £10 a session).
- All sessions are available and tailored to EYFS, KS1 & KS2 and can be adapted for later key stages.
- Available weekdays during term time only.
- A maximum of two sessions may be booked – one from ‘Farmyard Learning’, and one from ‘Understanding Nature Through Play’.
- A maximum of 20 children can participate per session, so large groups need to be split up throughout the day.

Farmyard Learning
Our three Farmyard Learning education sessions offer a rich variety of learning experiences, each tailored to the activity you choose:
- Caring for Animals – explore the fascinating world of animals, discovering their essential needs and recognising the many similarities they share with our own daily lives.
- Lifecycles – observe animal lifecycles up close, gaining real‑world insight into how different species grow, develop, and care for their young.
- Little Farmer’s Guided Tour – an engaging farmyard tour, where children learn how a modern farm operates from crop growing and animal care to the ways farming has evolved throughout the years and how farmers relied on animals before machinery.
Understanding Nature Through Play
We offer two Understanding Nature Through Play sessions:
- Connections in Nature – designed to help children build a stronger connection with the natural world and develop a sense of care and respect for nature.
- Sensing Nature – through hands‑on exploration and simple activities, pupils learn to use all their senses to decode their surroundings and recognise first-hand some of the patterns and strategies that exist within ecosystems.
Our staff
All educational activities are delivered by our friendly, experienced and knowledgeable staff who are used to dealing with the public and have plenty of hands on farm experience.
Our staff is also used to working with learning disabled and autistic adults engaged with our life skills programmes on the farm, making them well prepared for working with SEN groups in a gentle and respectful manner.
