Come and meet our four sweet alapacas, Havana, Rosika, Baby Belle and Daisy. These lovely girls joined us from Ipswich 0n 17th July 2026.

Alpacas are usually calm, friendly and rather shy, but they are also very nosy and like to know what is going on around them. They enjoy being with other alpacas and may hum softly to their friends. Each one has its own personality, some are bold, some are quiet, and all of them are wonderful to have on the farm.

Fun facts about alpacas

  • Alpacas are pregnant for 11 months
  • They see in colour like us
  • Baby alpacas are called crias
  • They have pads on the bottom of their feet

More about each of the girls

  • Melford Green Rosika – is the tallest of our white girls and has an extensive showing career, winning many rosettes in her classes. Rosika is definitely the leader of the new clan and keeps the others in check. Her date of birth is 23rd June, 2013 to mum Kim and dad Scratch.
  • Baby Belle –  the smallest of the 3 white girls, but don’t let that fool you! She’s very expressive and loves her food. She was born on 1st July 2012 to mum Belle and dad Tidemark. Daisy (another of our alpacas) is her baby.
  • Dancing Daisy – is our third white girl, and you may notice the bald patches on her face. This is due to her sensitivity to UV rays and means we have to put sun cream on her face to protect her skin. She stays away from the drama of the others, preferring a quieter life. She was born on 13th August 2018 to mum Baby Belle and dad Apollo.
  • Bella Ruba Havana – is the youngest of our girls and stands out for being the only tan coloured alpaca in the group. She is very immature and likes to wind up the older girls and cause absolute chaos! She was born on 30th May 2022 to mum Baby-bee and dad Kit.
